NGC 7822 - Teddy Bear
By Raffaele Calcagno
Taken on the night of Friday 19 during the Southern Star Party, this image portrays NGC 7822 the nebulous Teddy Bear, a spectacular star formation region located about 3,000 light years from us, in the constellation of Cephaeus. Between columns of gases and dust sculpted by the radiation of young stars, this nebula is one of the most active areas of star birth in our sky.
