Thursday 31 July 2025 23:33 Telescope: Takahashi FSQ-85EDX and flattener Imaging Cameras: Player One Poseidon-M Pro Mounts: iOptron CEM70G R: 4h 15′ G: 4h 15′ B: 4h 15′ Lum/Clear: 3h 35′ Hα: 7h VdB124/IC1287 open cluster NGC 6649 and Abell 45 Not too many examples of this target. VdB124 is located in Scutum and is a reflection nebula about 700 light-years from Earth. Its very faint. There is Ha in the nebula, a small amount that doesn't appear in most other images of this target. In the vicinity is the open star cluster NGC6649 and Abell 45 or the wagonwheel planetary nebula. I have seen one example of Oiii in the wagonwheel, and it was so faint, i don't think at this res it would have added much.
