Chinese Dragon Nebula - NGC6559
By Rodrigo Maeda
NGC6559 is also known as the Loreta Nebula or the Chinese Dragon Nebula, the latter due to its interior containing other nebulae that resemble drawings of the famous dragons of Chinese culture. Located in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius, it is a very interesting target containing emission nebulae, reflection nebulae, and dark nebulae. Captured from my backyard, in a single night, there were 59 frames of 300 seconds.
