Trifid, Lagoon and the Supernova remnant - M20, M8 and SNR G007.5-01.7

We are pleased to present the second project by Remote AstroPals, a collaborative group of astrophotographers and enthusiasts brought together by the desire to share experiences, techniques, and beauty. This time, we focused on one of the richest star-forming regions in the summer sky: the Lagoon (M8) and Trifid (M20) Nebulae. This wide-field image also includes M21, NGC 6559, and several IC and Barnard objects, offering a fascinating combination of emission, reflection, and dark nebulae. Each structure highlights a different aspect of interstellar dynamics, making this a perfect subject for collaborative processing. The data was acquired using Aygen Erkaslan’s high-end setup located in Chile, and it delivered outstanding quality across all channels. Thanks to the depth of integration and signal clarity, we were able to enhance fine details and subtle color variations throughout the field. The image processing was both collective and personal, as each of us followed our own stylistic approach. The final result is a true group effort that combines visual coherence with originality, reflecting not only the complexity of the subject but also the diversity of our backgrounds and perspectives.
