NGC3628 - Hamburguer Galaxy from Leo Triplet

By Rodrigo Maeda

The Lion Triplet is a region often observed by amateur astronomers, consisting of three galaxies very close to each other, M65 (NGC3623), M66 (NGC3627) and NGC3628. It is a perfect region for taking beautiful photos. This time I focused on NGC3628, also known as the Hamburger Galaxy or Sarah's Galaxy. In my capture, the tail of the galaxy begins to appear softly (bottom left of the photo). This would be better defined with a longer exposure time, or perhaps a different filter or a darker sky. But anyway, inside the city using a broadband filter it turned out pretty cool. I hope you like it! Location: Valparaiso -Sao Paulo - Brazil Bortle 5
