The Liberty Statue Nebula

By RODRIGO CARVALHO

The Statue of Liberty Nebula (NGC 3576) has a diameter of 100 light-years and is located in the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way. It is an active star-forming region, with powerful stellar winds blowing in all directions and creating filaments within and around the object. These winds contribute to the visible texture.
